Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has hit back at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua after he criticized him for wearing expensive wristwatches.
Taking to his social media pages, Murkomen claimed that while Gachagua criticised him over his expensive timepieces , the former Deputy President was himself wearing a Rolex Daytona reportedly worth Ksh6.8 million.
“Today in Kajiado, Mr. Rigathi Gachagua – the tribal jingoist – accused me of wearing an expensive watch, yet on the hand he held the microphone to spit tribal vitriol, he wore a Rolex Daytona watch worth Kenya Shillings 6.8 million,” Murkomen said.
Murkomen further claimed that a quick scan of Gachagua’s social media pages showed that the former Deputy President has a rich collection of Rolex watches worth approximately Ksh50 million.
“I bet in his tribal classism, watches are not for ‘watu kama Murkomen’. Ukabila ishindwe!” he added.
