The Democracy for the Citizens Party(DCP) ground mobilizer Councillor Njohi has made a series of allegations regarding what he claims is a covert security operation ahead of the upcoming Ol Kalou by-election.
In a statement shared on social media, Njohi alleged that a special squad of 25 police officers, which he identified as “Alpha Ondoa Kwekwe 018,” had been deployed to Ol Kalou.
According to Njohi, an advance team reportedly arrived in the area a few days ago and has been moving around in a Volkswagen Tiguan registration KDB 709N.
He further claimed that the alleged mission of the squad is to trigger public unrest in Ol Kalou in a bid to create grounds for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to cancel the by-election.
Njohi also alleged that the officers are planning to arrest Nyandarua Senator John Methu, Kinangop MP Wanjiku Muhia, or DCP candidate Sammy Kamau, claiming such arrests would spark mass protests.
Additionally, he claimed that some members of the alleged squad had visited and surveyed Senator Methu’s Mugumo residence while posing as DCP supporters.
In another serious allegation, Njohi claimed that an earlier plan to dump dead bodies in Ol Kalou “is still in place.”
He further alleged that he and another individual identified as Balloteli have also been earmarked for arrest.
According to Njohi, a UDA Member of Parliament previously told him during a chance meeting at a local eatery that he would be arrested and detained for several days before the by-election.
