Law Enforcement Officers in Butere Sub-County have arrested a notorious drug dealer, recovering a substantial haul of cannabis sativa right from his house in Butere.

Acting on a tip-off, the security team swooped down on the homestead of one Dennis Obera, in Ebushitinji village, within Lunza division.

While Obera may have thought his remote location provided a safe haven for his illicit trade, he learned the hard way that there is no hiding place for those who poison our society.

During a meticulous search of the suspect’s premises, officers recovered five massive bags of the prohibited herb.

When placed on the scales, the narcotics tipped the scale at 155 kilogrammes. Obera was promptly escorted to Butere Police Station, where he is undergoing processing pending arraignment. Meanwhile, the recovered narcotics are being detained as exhibits.
