Edwin Sifuna Shocks State House With The Mammoth Crowd That He Attracted in Mumias – Video

Let’s call it what it is — Edwin Sifuna just put State House on notice. The Nairobi Senator rolled into Mumias on Sunday and drew a crowd that no one saw coming. Not the political class. Not the pundits. And certainly not the powers that be in Nairobi.

This wasn’t a rally. It was a statement.

Sifuna and the Linda Mwananchi team started their day at ACK Cathedral, then hit the streets of Mumias town. The response was volcanic. Residents lined the roads, chanting and cheering, coining the term “SIFUNATED” to describe the energy he brought. From Navakholo to Malava to Lugari, the reception was consistent — massive, organic, and unmistakably political.

Here’s what the establishment is missing. Sifuna didn’t buy this crowd. He earned it. His message wasn’t vague promises — it was laser-focused on the one issue that cuts deepest in this region: the collapse of Mumias Sugar Company. For years, farmers have watched their livelihoods rot while politicians made empty pledges. Sifuna walked in and talked revival — concrete, actionable revival. That’s what brought the people out.

The church stop wasn’t optics. It was grounding. In Western Kenya, faith and politics are inseparable. Sifuna understands that. He showed up, worshipped, and then went to work.

This isn’t 2022 anymore. The ground is shifting. If Sifuna keeps this up, the 2027 race just got a whole lot more interesting. State House should be paying attention — because the people of Mumias certainly are.
