GSU Officer Killed At State House Nairobi – Is The Blood Of Gen Zs Haunting Them?

A General Service Unit (GSU) officer was on Monday fatally attacked within the precincts of State House, Nairobi.

According to preliminary police reports, the officer, whose identity remains undisclosed, was stationed at Gate D when a man armed with a spear suddenly launched the deadly assault. Fellow officers on duty swiftly overpowered the attacker, subdued him, and handed him over to the police for interrogation.

Investigations reveal that the assailant bizarrely claimed he had been sent by “Satan” to carry out the act. Security officials have since launched a probe to determine his motive and how he managed to approach such a heavily guarded installation.

The shocking incident has stirred public speculation, coming barely three months after the Gen Z demonstrations that rocked the country. During the nationwide protests, youthful demonstrators had threatened to march to the State House, accusing President William Ruto of corruption and failed leadership.

Those protests turned tragic, with more than 60 young Kenyans reportedly shot dead by police following orders to prevent the crowd from advancing towards the president’s official residence. On Thika Superhighway alone, over 20 protesters lost their lives as GSU officers battled to keep them from entering Nairobi’s Central Business District.

As investigations continue into the latest State House killing, many Kenyans are questioning whether the recent act of violence is a grim reminder—or perhaps a haunting echo—of the bloodshed that accompanied the Gen Z protests.

More details to follow as the story develops.
