Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has given former Citizen TV anchor Jacque Maribe a new role within his political outfit.
Nairobi County senior government official and philanthropist Geoffrey Mosiria has revealed that he met Maribe, who is now working closely with Sonko.
In a social media post, Mosiria said he had the pleasure of meeting Maribe, who works as the National Economic Development Party (NEDP) Communications Strategist.
According to Mosiria, Maribe encouraged him to continue supporting and helping vulnerable members of society, particularly children, women and the boychild.
“I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Jackie Maribe, the NEDP Communications Strategist, who works closely with former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko,” Mosiria said.
Mosiria also revealed that he met other women leaders working closely with Sonko, thanking the former governor for recognizing the efforts of women and giving them opportunities to serve and contribute through his party.
“I would like to thank Governor Mike Sonko for recognizing the efforts of women and giving them opportunities to serve and contribute through his party,” he added.
Maribe was once one of the most sought-after female TV anchors in the country before leaving mainstream television. She also made headlines after she was acquitted in the murder case involving the late businesswoman Monica Kimani.
Her latest role suggests that she is now working behind the scenes in politics and communications as she helps advance NEDP’s activities.
