Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has spoken amid growing speculation surrounding the health of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Dr Oburu Odinga.
In a message shared on his official X account, Kuria wished the seasoned politician a quick recovery and urged people to give him privacy as he recuperates.
“I wish my good friend Dr Oburu Oginga quick recovery. What he needs is maximum space to recuperate,” Kuria said.
Kuria also questioned the source of the reports circulating about Oburu’s health, accusing some people of allegedly sponsoring fake news.
“But tell me why some people in this country who celebrated Baba’s death are the same people sponsoring all these fake news? You will all burn in hell,” he added.
His remarks come amid speculation on social media regarding Oburu’s health, with Kuria calling for restraint and privacy as the ODM leader recovers.
The speculation intensified after blogger Maverick Aoko claimed on social media that Oburu had died.
Oburu has been missing from the public eye for quite some time, leading to speculation about his health.
In September, Oburu revealed that he had travelled to the United Kingdom for a medical review, saying the trip followed advice from his doctors and the ODM leadership.
He described the break as an opportunity to attend to routine health matters and rest before returning to his normal activities.
