Controversial blogger Maverick Aoko has sparked an online buzz after alleging that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Dr Oburu Odinga was dead.
In a post on X on Tuesday evening, Aoko claimed that the seasoned ODM politician had passed away while receiving treatment.
Reacting to the viral claims, Oburu’s son, Jaoko, called out Aoko and described her tweet as reckless.
“This is very careless of you Maverick Aoko,” he tweeted.
However, Jaoko did not confirm whether his father was alive or address the specific claims about his health.
Oburu has reportedly been battling illness for some time and has been in and out of the country for specialised treatment.
The claims have since sparked a buzz on social media, with Kenyans waiting for an official communication from the family regarding Oburu’s condition.
