A 39-year-old Nigerian national has died after being stabbed by his Kenyan girlfriend following a domestic dispute in the Real Junior area of Mlolongo Township, Machakos County.
The deceased, identified as Antony Okechuku, reportedly sustained a single stab wound to the left side of his chest during an altercation after visiting his girlfriend at her residence.
According to preliminary reports, Okechuku managed to report the incident to police, alleging that his girlfriend attacked him with a knife during the confrontation.
He was rushed for medical treatment but later succumbed to the injuries.
Police have launched investigations into the incident to establish the circumstances that led to the fatal confrontation.
Detectives are also pursuing the suspect as part of the ongoing probe.
The body was moved to a mortuary pending a postmortem examination as investigators continue gathering evidence.
