Police in Juja have launched investigations after a 54-year-old city lawyer went missing under unclear circumstances.

The missing woman, identified as Esther Wairimu Keige, is a mother of two and a practicing lawyer based in Nairobi.

According to reports, she was last seen at the Senate Hotel & Gym in Juja town along Thika Road, where she was dressed in a black dress and black shoes.

Her hair was braided and tied in a ponytail at the time.

Authorities and family members have expressed deep concern over her disappearance, noting that she is a vulnerable person who had been undergoing treatment for major depression and was reportedly on strong medication.

The matter was reported at Juja Police Station, with officers confirming that search efforts have already begun to trace her whereabouts.

Police are appealing to members of the public with any information that may assist in locating her to come forward as investigations continue.
