Concern is mounting in Baringo County following the mysterious disappearance of Kenneth Toroitich Kiplabat, a resident of Kiponjos Location in Marigat Ward, Baringo South Constituency.
Kenneth has been missing since Wednesday, May 20, according to family members and local leaders, with ongoing efforts by relatives, friends and members of the community to trace him yet to bear fruit.
In a disturbing development, his car was reportedly found abandoned in the Kapkures area of Nakuru County several days after his disappearance.
The vehicle was later towed to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices in Nakuru after remaining at the scene for three days.
The incident has heightened anxiety among residents and family members, who are now calling on security agencies to expedite investigations into the matter.
“The manner of his disappearance is troubling and has caused fear and anxiety among residents who deserve to feel safe in their own neighborhoods,” a local leader stated while appealing for public support in tracing him.
The matter has formally been reported to the DCI in Nakuru, with leaders urging investigators to pursue every possible lead and deploy all available resources to establish Kenneth’s whereabouts.
“To anyone who may have information, however small it may seem, I appeal to you to come forward and share it with the police. Your information could be the key to bringing Kenneth home,” the appeal added.
Family members, friends and well-wishers continue to hold onto hope for Kenneth’s safe return as appeals for information intensify across the region.
