SALARY CRISIS! Hundreds of Radio Africa Staff Yet to Receive Last Month’s Salaries as Frustration Hits Newsroom

Hundreds of employees at Radio Africa Group are still waiting for last month’s salaries, causing major financial strain and low morale across multiple departments.

The affected staff include journalists and editors from The Star newspaper, Star Digital, Radio Jambo, Classic 105, Homeboyz Radio, and other units under the media house.

Shockingly, the company has not issued any official communication explaining the delay—this despite Radio Africa having an active contract with the Government to publish the MyGov pullout every Tuesday.

It’s now mid-month and nothing has hit our accounts. We are completely demoralised—we can’t even afford fare to report to work on Monday,” one frustrated employee said.

The situation is even more dire for Correspondents, who—unlike staffers—are yet to receive payment for three months.

Not a single memo or email has been issued by the CEO or the Finance Department addressing the matter.

This comes barely weeks after Radio Africa pushed all staff to sign a 20% “voluntary” pay cut in September, citing tough economic times.

Instead of stabilising operations, workers say the pay cut has been followed by chronic salary delays.
