Ohangla singer Tony Ndiema has died while undergoing treatment at Oasis Hospital in Kisii.
According to reports, Ndiema had been admitted to the hospital after his condition worsened.
News of his death has since been shared widely on social media, with fellow Ohangla artists and fans mourning his passing.
Ohangla musician Musa Jakadalla, through his Super Latina Band, paid tribute to the late singer and sent his condolences to Ndiema’s family.
“Your passing is a profound loss to the music industry and to all of us who had the privilege of sharing this journey with you. Your talent, passion, and contribution to music will never be forgotten. Though your voice has fallen silent, the memories and impact you leave behind will continue to inspire many. May your soul rest in perfect peace. You will be dearly missed,” Jakadalla wrote.
According to reports, Ndiema’s health challenges began a few months ago after he was involved in an accident.
His condition reportedly deteriorated over time, with reports indicating that he had lost his ability to speak and walk before his death.
His passing marks a major loss to the Ohangla music fraternity, with fans and fellow musicians continuing to pay tribute to his life and musical legacy.
