Wundayi Member of Parliament Danson Mwashako is mourning the death of his longtime bodyguard, Daudi Nganga, who took his own life in Kasarani.
In an emotional tribute shared online, the MP described Nganga as a loyal confidant, trusted protector, and brother figure who had stood by him for more than eight years.
“Daudi Nganga, your departure has left us all in utter shock. You were one of the most formidable members of my team – my confidant, my friend, family. To me, you were a brother,” Mwashako wrote.
The legislator praised Nganga’s dedication to duty, saying he was highly dependable when it came to matters of security and always remained vigilant.
“We spent over 8 years together. We bonded. And now you are gone. The firearms you did not use for all the time, the devil pushed you to use on yourself. Sad,” he added.
Mwashako also condoled with Nganga’s family, including his wife, children, mother, and siblings, promising to stand with them during the difficult period.
The MP further thanked members of the public, friends, and supporters for the overwhelming messages of condolence and support following the tragic incident.
