Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu has emotionally recounted his final conversation with the late MP Johana Ng’eno, shedding light on what would unknowingly be their last exchange before the tragic helicopter crash that claimed Ng’eno’s life.

Speaking at a memorial gathering, Governor Ntutu revealed that on the morning of the fatal crash, Ng’eno had called to share his plans for the day.

“That morning, he called me to tell me that he was going to travel to Nandi and asked if I could join him later in the afternoon to issue bursary cheques to needy students in Kapsoisan Ward. But I told him I was very far,” Ntutu said.

The Governor admitted he had no idea that this would be their final conversation.

“Little did I know that was the last day I was going to talk to my friend and a son-in-law,” he added, visibly emotional.

Ng’eno’s sudden death in the helicopter crash has left leaders and Kenyans in mourning, with many remembering him as a committed public servant dedicated to education and community development.
