Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has claimed that he continues to receive confidential information from within the Government, alleging that a majority of officers in the National Intelligence Service (NIS), the National Police Service (NPS), and the civil service support him.
Speaking during an interview on KTN, Gachagua said his network of contacts within State institutions enables him to access sensitive information without exposing the individuals who share it with him.
The former Deputy President claimed that despite leaving office after his impeachment, he remains well-connected to key government agencies and is regularly briefed on developments.
According to Gachagua, he has put in place measures to protect the identities of his sources and ensure that their conversations cannot be intercepted.
“75% of the National Intelligence Service is with me. 90% of the National Police Service is with me. The entire civil service is with me. I am a smooth operator. I am able to get information from government people without exposing them,” Gachagua said.
Since his impeachment, Gachagua has emerged as one of President William Ruto’s fiercest critics, frequently making allegations of corruption within the Government and disclosing what he says is sensitive internal information obtained from his sources.
