President William Ruto’s daughter Charlene Ruto has tied the knot with her Tanzanian partner Isaya Yunge in a colourful ceremony in Mwanza, Tanzania, attended by Kenya’s First Family.
Ruto arrived in Mwanza on Thursday evening, accompanied by First Lady Rachel Ruto and other Kenyan leaders, ahead of the celebrations marking Charlene’s marriage to the Tanzanian entrepreneur. The wedding is the latest milestone in a series of events that have brought the two families together.
Days before the ceremony, Charlene held a bridal shower attended by close friends and family. She shared photographs of the private event on Tuesday, November 3, showing a white-and-purple-themed celebration, with the bride-to-be in an elegant white gown and her guests dressed in pink. Her sister Stephanie was among those who joined the festivities.
The white wedding follows the couple’s traditional Kalenjin engagement ceremony, known as Koito, which was held on August 8, 2026, at the President’s private residence and farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.
