Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is mourning the death of his first-born sister, Eunice Nyangari Gachagua, who passed away in Naro Moru.
In an emotional tribute posted on his official Facebook page, Gachagua revealed that Eunice died on Thursday and had been a mother figure in their family since the demise of their mother seven years ago.
He extended his condolences to her children, Waithera and Murimi, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the entire Reriani family, saying they were all sharing in the pain of her loss.
Gachagua also celebrated his late sister’s 77 years, describing her as a happy and warm soul who brought joy to the family.
“We will deeply miss her wise counsel, warmth and the precious moments we shared. Eunice was a happy and warm soul who lit up our hearts,” he wrote.
He thanked God for the years she lived and prayed for her soul to rest in eternal peace.
“May her soul rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her forever,” he added.
