A city quantity surveyor, Edgar Mokua, has died after he was drugged while at Club Ibiza, located at Lavington Mall in Nairobi.
According to reports, Edgar had gone to the popular entertainment spot for drinks when he met a woman and invited her to join him, unaware of the events that would follow.
He was later reported missing by his family and friends before his body was discovered in an open field in Roysambu.
Preliminary reports indicate that investigators suspect he may have died from a drug overdose after being drugged.
However, the exact cause of death is expected to be established through a post-mortem examination and ongoing investigations.
Detectives have obtained CCTV footage from the club, which reportedly captured the woman believed to have been with Edgar before his disappearance.
Authorities are now searching for her as part of the investigation.
The Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK) has mourned Edgar’s death, describing it as a tragic loss and conveying its condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Images of the woman captured on CCTV have since been widely circulated on social media as detectives intensify efforts to trace and question her over the incident.
