More information continues to emerge about King’ei, the suspected highway robber who died after being accidentally shot by one of his accomplices during a botched carjacking incident along the busy Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

According to claims circulating on social media, King’ei reportedly came from a financially stable family based in Kinyambu despite his involvement in criminal activities.

A social media user who claimed to know the deceased personally alleged that his mother, identified only as “Ndinda,” owns several businesses in the area, including a cereals wholesale shop, a chemist, and rental properties.

The user further claimed that King’ei had been arrested several times in the past over criminal-related incidents but would frequently secure his freedom after intervention from family members.

“Every time he was arrested, his mother would go and get him out of police custody,” part of the viral post read.
