Political Tensions Boil Over as Powerful Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah Plots to Demolish Governor Wamatangi’s Businesses Near Nyayo Stadium Using State Machinery(Photos)

Political temperatures in Kiambu are rising after explosive claims emerged that a senior Kikuyu MP is allegedly using state machinery to settle scores with Governor Kimani Wamatangi.

According to political insiders, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah, together with his brother-in-law Eng. Joseph Mbugua, the Principal Secretary for Roads and Transport, are allegedly plotting to demolish SUPERCLEAN Car Wash and other businesses linked to Governor Wamatangi, located near Nyayo Stadium.

Sources claim the planned demolition is not about development or public interest, but rather a political statement aimed at demonstrating power and proximity to President William Samoei Ruto, as political differences between Ichung’wah and Governor Wamatangi continue to widen.

It is alleged that Ichung’wah has vowed to use state machinery to “finish the governor in any possible way,” escalating what was once a quiet political rivalry into an open confrontation.

However, the move has reportedly hit a snag after railway authorities declined requests to demolish the facility, stating that the proposed railway project would not affect the land occupied by the car wash.

Officials are said to have confirmed that Governor Wamatangi leased the property legally a long time ago and fully complied with all requirements.

Critics argue that bringing down a fully compliant business that has created employment opportunities for hundreds of people would be unjustified, politically motivated, and deeply shameful.

“This is not about development. It’s about power, intimidation, and political revenge,” one source claimed.
