A desperate search is underway for a seven-year-old boy who was abducted by armed criminals after they attacked and robbed his mother outside an M-Pesa shop in Kikopey.
The shocking incident occurred on Tuesday at the Kikopey Police Line area, where two armed men riding a numberless motorcycle reportedly accosted the child’s mother moments after she had visited the M-Pesa outlet.
According to preliminary reports, the suspects robbed the woman of her money and handbag before dramatically grabbing her seven-year-old son and speeding away on the motorcycle.
The child was last seen wearing black trousers with white stripes and a grey T-shirt with black markings.
Police have launched investigations into the incident and are pursuing leads to trace the kidnappers and rescue the boy safely.
