Grief has engulfed the family of the late Murang’a University student Constance Githinji following her tragic death at an Airbnb in Kileleshwa, as her parents now speak out while demanding justice.
The devastated family says the loss has taken a heavy emotional toll, particularly on Constance’s mother, who is reportedly under medication as she struggles to cope with the tragedy.
Her father, Rufas Githinji, expressed deep pain over the incident, vowing to pursue justice for his daughter and help prevent similar cases in the future.
“I will make sure no one goes through what I have gone through because of this incident. It is very painful. Even my wife is not here — she is under medication,” he said.
Githinji accompanied a team of detectives led by Homicide Chief Martin Nyugutu as they combed through the apartment where Constance is believed to have died, searching for additional evidence.
Investigators questioned security guards and room service staff and also retrieved CCTV footage to help piece together the sequence of events leading up to her death.
Preliminary reports indicate that Constance fell from the sixth floor of the building, although the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
