A family has been plunged into mourning after two siblings tragically lost their lives in a road accident while taking their elderly father to hospital.
The heartbreaking incident was shared by a family member on Facebook, who revealed that the victims, identified as Wariara and Mwaura, died at the scene of the crash.
According to the emotional post, the two were on their way to seek medical care for their father when the fatal accident occurred, leaving the entire family devastated.
The family has since held separate burial ceremonies for the siblings.
“Our hearts are filled with grief as we mourn the loss of two dear family members; our aunt and our uncle, siblings who tragically lost their lives while taking their father to the hospital,” the family member wrote.
The post revealed that Wariara was laid to rest on Friday, while relatives were preparing to bid farewell to Mwaura on Saturday.
Describing the loss as one of the most painful moments the family has ever experienced, the family member prayed for strength and comfort for all those affected, especially their grandfather, who is now mourning the loss of two of his children.
“These are incredibly difficult days for our family, but we pray that God will give us the strength to carry one another through this painful season,” the post read.
