Police officers from Embakasi Sub-County have apprehended three suspects linked to a brazen break-in and attempted theft at the Viraj Complex Godowns.

The suspects, who had set their sights on Godown Number 22, moved with the misplaced confidence of a predator in the dark.

However, their luck hit a dead end when a vigilant security guard on duty noticed the suspicious movement.

Without missing a beat, the guard raised the alarm, blowing the whistle on the miscreants.

Responding with speed, the officers stormed the scene, leaving the suspects with no room to escape.

The coordinated response led to the immediate arrest of Stephen Mwangi, Peter Okumu and Kennedy Wanyingi.

At the scene, the officers recovered a white Mitsubishi Canter Reg No. KAQ 198G, with its front and rear registration number plates cleverly concealed using a polythene bag, in an attempt to cloak their misdeeds.

This vehicle poised to transport the stolen goods, now sits in police custody, making it a key piece of evidence in the investigation.

The three suspects are currently undergoing processing pending arraignment.
