Detectives from the Land Fraud Investigations Unit (LFIU) at DCI Headquarters have arrested 60-year-old David Ndegwa Mwangi for his alleged role in the fraudulent procurement of land titles for three prime plots in the exclusive Countryside Villa Estate along Muthaiga Drive.
Each parcel is valued at approximately Sh45 million.
The rightful owner reported that Mwangi and his accomplices (still at large) attempted to forcefully claim the properties.
Shockingly, the suspects even visited the land, asserting fake ownership despite the complainant holding genuine, authentic title documents.
Following thorough investigations, the file was forwarded to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), which directed that charges be preferred against Mwangi and his accomplices for Fraudulent Procurement of Title.
Mwangi is currently in custody and undergoing processing ahead of his arraignment in court. Detectives continue to hunt down the remaining suspects.
The DCI remains resolute in protecting the sanctity of property ownership and ensuring that land grabbers and title fraudsters face the full wrath of the law.
