Charlene Ruto’s newly-wed husband, Isaya Yunge, has broken his silence following viral claims that he fathered a child with a white ex-wife.
The rumours surfaced online after photos and video clips of Isaya spending time with a white child went viral, prompting speculation among social media users that he had previously been married and had a child.
However, Isaya has dismissed the claims, clarifying that the child is his niece and belongs to his Kenyan brother, Dr David Wachira, who is married to a white woman.
Isaya also criticised bloggers and social media users for dragging an innocent child into online drama, warning that he could take action against those spreading what he described as false claims about his family.
The controversy comes amid increased public scrutiny of Isaya following his highly publicised wedding to President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto.
Since the wedding, a section of social media users has been digging into Isaya’s background and circulating various claims about his private life.
The latest controversy was triggered by the photos and videos showing him bonding with his niece, which some users interpreted differently and used to fuel speculation about his past.
Isaya, however, sought to set the record straight, insisting that the child has no connection to the claims being made about him.
He appeared particularly unhappy that his niece, an innocent child, had been dragged into the online controversy.
