A police constable attached to Mandera Police Station has been arrested in Kiambu over alleged forgery of transfer documents purporting to show that he had been moved from Mandera County to Ruiru Police Station in Kiambu County.
Police Constable Samuel Mutwiri Mutuma was arrested on Thursday after investigators flagged documents allegedly forged to facilitate his transfer from Mandera to Ruiru.
Mutwiri is accused of forging a transfer alert purportedly issued by Vigilance House, the Kenya Police Headquarters, dated September 9, 2026.
Investigators also flagged a purported letter from the Regional Police Commander (Central) dated September 14, 2026, together with a matching order dated September 17, 2026, allegedly issued and signed by the Station Police Commander, Mandera Police Station.
The officer is now being investigated over the alleged forgery as detectives work to establish how the documents were created and the circumstances surrounding his purported transfer to Ruiru.
