UDA Homa Bay Town Constituency Chairperson Franklin Oluoch was reportedly attacked by a group of unknown assailants on Saturday night, September 19, in Homa Bay Town.
According to reports, Oluoch and his team were intercepted by suspected goons, with his vehicle later set ablaze during the incident.
Footage from the scene showed the vehicle engulfed in flames as firefighters moved in to contain the fire.
Reports indicate that Oluoch escaped the attack unharmed, although his vehicle was extensively damaged.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident and the motive of the attackers remain unclear.

Oluoch is a known UDA official in Homa Bay Town and has been involved in the party’s grassroots mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 General Election.
In recent months, he has publicly opposed proposals for political zoning in Nyanza and has participated in UDA meetings aimed at strengthening the party’s presence in the region.
