CCTV Footage Shows ‘Masked Men’ Shooting at M-Pesa Attendant—Chilling Video

A chilling video surfaced online this week showing a group of masked men attempting to force their way into a fortified M-Pesa shop.

The men, dressed head to toe in dark clothing and balaclavas, can be seen demanding entry at the door. When the attendant refuses, one of them opens fire, discharging multiple rounds in what appears to be a deliberate act of intimidation.

The footage quickly spread across social media, and the reactions have been anything but calm.

A large number of viewers were quick to point out the men’s tactical gear, military-style coordination, and overall demeanor, drawing comparisons to rogue law enforcement officers. For many Kenyans already frustrated with ongoing debates around police accountability, the clip felt like more than just a robbery gone wrong.

Others pushed back, arguing the men were simply armed criminals who had gotten hold of tactical equipment, which is not entirely unheard of in Kenya’s urban crime landscape.

What makes the story more troubling is the silence that followed. As of now, no official statement has been issued, no arrests have been made, and the identity of the attendant, along with any injuries sustained, remains unknown. Authorities have not publicly acknowledged the incident.

Whether these were criminals in uniform or criminals in costume, the footage raises uncomfortable questions.

In a country still grappling with trust in its security forces, a video like this lands differently. And right now, it is landing hard.

Here is the video>>>
