Controversial city preacher Victor Kanyari has found himself at the centre of a fresh family drama after his son, Danny, declared that he prefers staying with his stepfather, Tash, rather than living with him.
Danny’s remarks come amid an ongoing family dispute following the death of his mother, gospel singer Betty Bayo, with questions surrounding the children’s custody attracting public attention.
Speaking to his social media fans, Danny described his father as a drunkard and a violent man.
He recounted incidents in which Kanyari came home drunk and became violent towards his workers and their mother.
“He would come home drunk and get violent. He is not fit to be a parent,” Danny reportedly said, explaining why he prefers staying with his stepfather.
Kanyari has continued taking care of the children following his separation from their late mother, Betty Bayo.
The preacher enrolled them at Woodcreek International School, where he pays KSh 500,000 per term in school fees.
However, despite the substantial amount spent on their education, Danny’s preference to stay with his stepfather has drawn fresh attention to the family’s private struggles.
The latest revelations have added another twist to the family’s ongoing custody drama, with questions emerging about the children’s wishes and their relationship with their father.
