Detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) have conducted a raid at the home of the Chief Officer for Nairobi Urban Planning, Patrick Analo, and recovered millions of shillings believed to be proceeds of graft.
The sleuths stormed the house of the miscreant on Thursday morning, during which they recovered key evidence, including large sums of cash. The exact amount has yet to be disclosed.
Reports indicate that the cash recovered is worth millions of shillings and is currently in the custody of EACC detectives as investigations continue. The huge sums of cash were found in two large suitcases, and officers believe they are the proceeds of corruption in the rotten Nairobi urban planning department.
Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has not stated the arrest of a senior member of his cabinet as of the time this story was published.
Nairobi County, under the leadership of Governor Sakaja, is a scene of crime, as corruption, bureaucracy, and mismanagement seem to be its motto.
