Social media has erupted after a menu showing the prices of beverages at Encore Hotel, the newly launched multi-billion-shilling hotel associated with Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika and her husband, Sam Mburu, surfaced online.

According to the leaked menu, a bottle of soda is priced at Ksh 400, while a can of Red Bull costs Ksh 1,000, prompting widespread debate among Kenyans over the hotel’s premium pricing.

The state-of-the-art hotel has continued to attract attention online, with many social media users discussing its luxurious status, high-end amenities, and pricing.

While some argued that such prices are expected at a luxury establishment targeting affluent clientele, others expressed surprise at the cost of some of the beverages.

The hotel has also remained at the center of political debate after former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua publicly accused Governor Kihika of using looted taxpayers’ money to finance its construction.
