Families of two young men who died in a tragic road accident along the Ntulele-Narok highway are now demanding fresh investigations after emerging claims raised questions over the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
According to the family, Stephen Wachira and his colleague left a welding work site in Ntulele on the night of May 2nd, 2026, at around 9:00pm and began their journey home to Narok on a motorbike.
Sadly, the two lost their lives in what was initially reported as a self-causing road accident.
Their bodies were later moved to Narok Public Morgue as grieving relatives began burial preparations.
However, the family says new information has since emerged suggesting the incident may have involved another vehicle.
According to claims shared with investigators, an individual allegedly privately disclosed involvement in an accident that same night along the Ntulele road where two people died.
It is further alleged that the same individual later visited Ntulele Police Station and informed officers about bodies lying on the road during the rainy night, although no Occurrence Book (OB) entry was reportedly made.
The family also claimed that the postmortem report indicated the deceased died after being hit by a blunt object, raising more questions about the nature of the accident.
Relatives who visited Ntulele Police Station seeking answers said they appreciate efforts by the Deputy Base Commander, who has reportedly initiated further investigations, including tracing vehicle ownership details, insurance information and summoning persons of interest.
However, the family alleges that one of the individuals summoned, said to be an employee of the Narok County Government, has failed to honor police summons or present the suspected vehicle, which they claim has already been repaired.
According to NTSA records shared by the family, the vehicle is allegedly registered under RAMNA INTERNATIONAL MOTORS COMPANY LIMITED.
The grieving families are now appealing for: A fair and transparent investigation, Full cooperation from all relevant parties, Protection of witnesses, Justice for the deceased and their loved ones
“Two young men left work heading home to their loved ones and never arrived,” part of the family’s statement reads.
Anyone with information, CCTV footage, or details regarding events along the Ntulele highway on the night of May 2nd, 2026, at around 9pm is urged to assist investigators through the proper authorities.
