Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has reacted to the acquittal of Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago in the controversial Sh1.1 billion Finland and Canada education programme case, claiming that the parents who lost money have been denied justice.

Taking to his X account, Sudi maintained that the funds contributed by parents for the overseas education programme were indeed lost and expressed sympathy for the affected families.

“The truth of the matter is that pesa ya wazazi ilipotea, and the parents had already paid. I was telling Mandago tufanye harambee, but akajifanya mjuaji and refused,” Sudi wrote.

The outspoken lawmaker went further to allege that Mandago used money on lawyers and bribing magistrates instead of compensating the affected parents.

“The money he’s been using on lawyers na kuhonga magistrates could have paid hata nusu ya hiyo pesa. The case has stalled and the one with influence has benefited, because mnyonge hana haki,” he alleged.

Sudi said he would continue standing with the parents who lost their money, insisting that they deserve justice despite the outcome of the case.

“But I am standing with these parents and their right to justice. Ni sawa, Mungu atasimama na hao wazazi,” he added.
