In a series of intelligence-led operations to curb narcotics trafficking, police officers have arrested drug peddlers, recovering substantial haul of cannabis sativa across the country.
In Nakuru, the law caught up with 32-year-old Felix Mittunda Genchabe.
While he thought he was blending in, eagle-eyed officers on patrol pounced.
A swift search of his backpack revealed Cannabis Sativa cleverly concealed ready for the streets.
His distribution ring was cut short before the next delivery.
Elsewhere, in Bumula, Bungoma County, acting on a tip-off, officers intercepted a speeding motorcycle.
Two suspects, Josphat Ochieng and Yusuf Keya, were found in possession of four bales of bhang.
Similarly in Kaptalamwa, Elgeyo Marakwet, the crackdown claimed one trafficker. Isaac Kibet Odipo, 30, was cornered while in possession of 172 rolls of bhang.
All suspects are currently in custody undergoing processing pending arraignment. Meanwhile, the recovered narcotics have been secured as exhibits.
