The search for CEENET Technologies Chief Executive Officer Kenneth Toroitich Kiplabat has ended in tragedy after he was found dead in Gilgil on Thursday evening, more than a week after he was reported missing.
Kiplabat, a native of Kiponjos Location in Marigat Ward, Baringo South Constituency, had been missing since May 20, prompting widespread concern among family members, friends, colleagues, and residents.
His disappearance sparked calls for intensified investigations by security agencies and appeals from leaders and members of the public for information that could help trace him.
Earlier, his vehicle was discovered abandoned in the Kapkures area of Nakuru several days after he went missing and was subsequently towed to the DCI offices in Nakuru as investigations commenced.
Authorities are yet to issue a comprehensive statement on the circumstances surrounding his death.
Investigations are expected to continue to establish what transpired between the time of his disappearance and the discovery of his body.
