Popular Mugithi singer Wanja Asali has appealed for help in tracing her driver after accusing him of stealing mobile phones and making unauthorized M-Pesa transactions amounting to tens of thousands of shillings.
In a post shared on social media, the singer identified the suspect as Muraya, also known as Tripple M, and claimed that he had been working for her as a driver before allegedly disappearing on Sunday evening with two mobile phones.
According to Wanja, the stolen phones were later recovered, but upon checking them, she discovered that unauthorized M-Pesa transactions had been carried out.
“This is Muraya/Tripple M, who was working with us as a driver. On Sunday evening, he disappeared with two of our phones. We later recovered the phones yesterday and discovered that unauthorized M-Pesa transactions totaling KSh 93,000 had been made,” she wrote.
The singer further revealed that the matter had already been reported to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and that investigations were underway to establish the suspect’s whereabouts.
She appealed to members of the public who may have information about the suspect to report to the nearest police station or contact her directly.
