Sakaja Fires Finance CEC Kerich Amid Corruption Probe

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has sacked Finance CEC Charles Kerich and appointed Ibrahim Nyangoya as acting replacement.

He also suspended Urban Planning Chief Officer Patrick Analo after his arrest by EACC over alleged corruption.

Investigators say they recovered over Sh65 million in cash, along with title deeds, logbooks, laptops, and other documents.

Sakaja said Nairobi County will fully cooperate with investigations and announced reforms aimed at improving transparency in the urban planning department.
